ChildhoodAstrid was born on April 28, 2000 in San Francisco, California. Her father, Hyunsik Park, is a well-known academic and philanthropist. Her mother, Lily Kwon, on the other hand, was the estranged daughter of Adeline Carnegie and Kwon Jaeyong- owners of one of the biggest fashion houses in South Korea.Astrid was raised in San Francisco and only moved back to Seoul at age 11 when Lily and Hyunsik divorced.Since then, all connections to her father had been severed.Upon returning to Seoul, Lily decided to establish her own line of luxury handbags. Her brand has since evolved into a worthy rival of her own parents' company, with whom she has reconciled upon her and Astrid's return.Return to KoreaIn 2019, Adeline and Jaeyong deemed it fit to turn over complete control of their company to Lily, making her the CEO of the two companies.Astrid is being groomed to eventually take over.
